We recorded this album in two sessions at Alfie Bernardi's studio Claytons. Most tracks were recorded in a single take, live and raw just like they did at Chess and Sun. This brings a freshness and vitality that goes some way to capturing the energy of live gigs where we feel most at home.

We also used some very cool gear, vintage guitars and amps, real tape echo and even a vintage valve desk with spring reverb that adds real character and depth to the sound. Alfie Bernardi's superb production and mixing was then turned over to Church Road Studios for mastering to create a final product we feel really proud of and hope you will love.

The song choice is based on our tried and tested live show set lists and features songs from some of our favourite Blues artists. We all have a real passion for the Blues and are delighted to bring back some lesser known tracks such as Geeshie Wiley's "Last Kind Words" and Willie Browns' "M & O Blues" as well as some old favourites all given the Harry Hornsey Revue twist.

We had a ball making this album and hope you will enjoy it just as much.
